Roam our Home Ranch – a Guided Walk with Friends and Family

Celebrate Earth Day by exploring our historic Home Ranch on a guided walk with a wine pairing experience, followed by a picnic lunch. Join us on Sunday, April 21 at 11:00 am for a memorable stroll led by Sangiacomo family members and Andrew Smith, our charismatic Hospitality Sales Manager.

Step onto the very ground where the Sangiacomo family’s original homestead was established in 1927, and immerse yourself in nearly a century of family history as you walk through the Home Ranch vineyard. The third-generation Sangiacomo siblings will share stories and insights about sustainable farming practices, along with charming family anecdotes, as you traverse the same dirt roads and vine rows that generations of Sangiacomos have cherished.

History of the Home Ranch

For over 95 years, the Sangiacomo family has sustainably farmed this beloved land in Sonoma. Once a pear orchard and now an award-winning chardonnay vineyard, the 110-acre Sangiacomo “Home Ranch” is the heart and soul of the family business. It’s where the second and third generations of the family learned the value of stewardship and sustainability and where, more than 95 years later, they continue their long-standing tradition in farming.

What to Expect

Arrive early and start where it all began. The Home Ranch Walk will begin on the same land where the original family homestead was built and has stood since 1927. During the walk, we’ll pause at key points to delve deeper into the Sangiacomo legacy and enjoy wine refills, ensuring an enriching experience for all. The walk will finish in Duke’s Vineyard Landing picnic area.  Enjoy a boxed lunch with our delicious wines, surrounded by newly sprouted chardonnay buds and canes at picnic tables.

Reservations

Reservations are required in advance. Please plan for a two-hour experience, including lunch.

Cost: $95 per person, inclusive of the guided walk, a progressive tasting of five wines, and a boxed lunch with a glass of wine.

Club Famiglia Members: $75 per person.

Picnic Lunch Box

Boxed lunch options are prepared in advance by Sonoma Market. When making your reservation, select from three options: Turkey, Roast Beef, or Vegetarian.  Each boxed lunch includes a whole sandwich, a 4-oz. seasonal salad, chips, fruit, and a cookie. Sandwiches come with crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a mayonnaise and mustard packet.  You will be contacted in advance to confirm individual sandwich orders. Please call us in advance at 707-934-8445 if you have dietary restrictions or allergies.
Important Note: Outside food is not allowed. Please do not bring your own picnic.
